Studio Migalle
Studio Migalle is the home of Toronto artist Gail Leija.
My work traces the fault lines in how images come into being; the conditions of finding rather than the thing found. Forms emerge and recede as systems overlap, interfere, and resist resolution. The image becomes a temporary stabilization within an ongoing process of emergence and erosion, at the threshold where recognition begins, coherence almost forms, and collapse remains possible. The work is realized as limited edition archival pigment prints on paper, aluminum, and silk.BIOMORPHS
